Scald the tomatoes, peel, remove seeds and chop coarsely. Cut the bacon into thin strips, peel the onion into small cubes. Clean the pepper pod, slit open, wash out the seeds and chop the peppers finely.
Heat the oil in a frying pan. Sauté bacon and onions. Put water for pasta. Stir in tomato and pepper, salt and pepper. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and mix into the sauce, sprinkle with the cheese.
