Tomato sauce for pasta ingredients:

2 large Canned tomatoes
2 large Onion
4 pcs Garlic cloves
4 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Herbs (oregano, rosemary, thyme)
2 tbsp Tomato paste
1st Shot of red wine
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
Chili or cayenne

Tomato sauce for pasta Recipe Directions

Tomato sauce for pasta preparation:

Finely dice the onion and garlic and fry in olive oil. Add the tomato paste and cook briefly. Deglaze with a splash of red wine and add the chopped canned tomatoes (with juice). Now all herbs, sea salt, pepper and add some chili.

Simmer the tomato sauce in an open pan at least 3 hours gently leave.

The sauce can be further refined with a little mashed anchovies.

Cook pasta according to package specification. Serve the pasta with tomato sauce, a part of the mix, transfer to plates and even distribute an extra dollop of sauce on the pasta.

Tip: The sauce also tastes especially good when you have mingled some ricotta.
