500 grams Green cabbage, washed and cleaned

Caldo Verde Kale Soup Recipe Directions

About 2 liters of water with the potatoes and onions in a large soup kettle type. Bring to a boil with salt, and the whole 20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

Meanwhile, remove the tough stalk and cut the cabbage leaves from the hard rib. Then the cabbage into very fine (!) Strips. The soft-boiled mash potatoes in the broth to thicken it. Strong broth, pepper, seasoning to taste with salt and stir in oil.

Bring broth to a boil again. Add cabbage strips and immediately stir thoroughly. 3 to 4 minutes let bubbly boil - just so long that the cabbage is tender but not overcooked and still has bite.

Soup into warmed soup bowls to fill and serve still steaming. Serve with olive oil separately.
